Samenvatting
Based on British experience the circumstances and situations which influence traffic safety are pointed and statistical data on the number of accidents on motorways and highways with regard to geometric road design, visibility and pavement condition are presented. The most important technical solutions which refer to traffic safety, observed from the point of view of traffic statistics, design, cross roads regulation, road curvature, pavement and lateral disturbance are given.
