Samenvatting
The overall objective of the Safety-Related Information Needs Study was to determine the safety-related information realistically needed in the foreseeable future for carrying out FHWA's motor carrier safety and highway programs. Within this overall objective, three supporting objectives were defined: 1) Evaluate data needs critically to assure that only the most essential information is collected and that FHWA's limited resources are not expended on data of inadequate quality or for which there is little use; Identify the potential sources for supplying critical missing data, and 3) Determine the resource requirements for providing and utilizing needed information.
