Samenvatting
In areas with a low bearing capacity, geotechnical measures are usually taken in order to limit settlement of pavement structures. Another possibility to prevent settlement is to make such a lightweight pavement that the load on the subbase, because of its structure, hardly changes. Such structures can be made with foamed concrete. In some areas susceptible to settlement, pavement structures were recently laid with foamed concrete in the bottom layer and concrete, asphalt as well as concrete blocks in the top layer. In this contribution, some aspects of the experiences obtained are highlighted.
