Guidelines are developed for the protection of young pedestrians walking to and from school, entering and leaving schoolbuses and the instruction for bus drivers. Schoolway plans seem to be the safest routes to be the most safe routes to school for young children. Many guidelines for schoolway markings are presented. The best places for bus stops and their location is discussed. Surveys at Nürnberg and Grossenkneten on the safety for children routes to school are presented.
