Samenvatting
Tolerance-limits for leg- and thorax injuries are defined from results of earlier tests with cadavers. It was shown, that with the same impacts to the thorax and the cruse about the same injury-severity arise. With the aid of a regression analysis it is stated, that for light to severe injury the degree of severity is proportionate to the energy of impact. From this correlation a formula for the calculation of the severity of injury is developed and at the same time this formula is used for simulation tests with dummies.
