Samenvatting

Three years ago MOVE was set up by the Dutch Ministry of transport to promote seamless mobility in the Netherlands. Industry has responded to this challenge: last year, MOVE awarded 8 million guilders of subsidies to 38 promising projects. In 2001 76 new projects were received. MOVE brings together demand and supply site, encouraging partnerships, and makes funding possible. Examples of projects stimulated by MOVE are described. These include a Mobility Shop for the Meerhoven district of Eindhoven, a mobility information point for Enschede, a Mobility Mixx business mobility service provider offering a wide range of transport options, a public transport bicycle system, a secure bicycle parking system for hired bicycles, car-sharing, and other projects.
