Searching for many targets : an analysis of speed and accuracy.

Results of this study give clear support to the conjecture that test subjects would not detect the four targets in the multiple-target condition (MTC) with equal accuracy. It is suggested that test persons cannot search as accurately and rapidly for a target when other targets are also being searched for simultaneously as they can when that target is searched for alone.
