Seatbelts have in recent model cars become available to so many that the net usage rate has displayed a sharp increase in spite of the fact that the usage rate has decreased. Since in new cars most of the occupants have available the potential protection of a seatbelt the need of promotion of actual use of the belt is now greater than ever. The tragedy of death is so much more grim if an unused seatbelt is lying there.
