Samenvatting
Safety as such is not a major issue. Given safety its proper priority is what matters. It is the lack of knowledge about unknown risks and unexpected behaviour of a system following from its (hidden) properties that poses a challenge to adequate risk management. How to prepare yourself for the risks you don't know ? This thesis shows the influence of the new notion of resilience time in high risk systems. (Author/publisher)
