Since 1994, the Traffic General Directorate publishes this bilingual report annually seeking a wide dissemination of the main data related to road accident rate. It is obvious that its aim is to give information and to supply basic statistical information to those sectors within the country or from abroad which are involved in road safety. The content of this publication is divided into 5 big parts: - the most relevant actions carried out during years 2003 and 2004, - Spanish situation within the international context, - evolution of main data related to vehicles, drivers and accidents during the last ten years, - comparative study of road accident rate in year 2004 with regard to 2003, - statistical data on road accident rate in year 2004.
