Samenvatting
Among the most frequently struck fixed objects in motor vehicle collisions are poles, including utility poles, light standards and signs. A study on pole accidents along highways was done and the results of the study are summerized here with special emphasis being given to vehicle damage and occupant injury severity characteristics of pole impacts.
