Samenvatting

This paper discusses a driver education program in Israel high schools. Participants are chosen because they are well known as social leaders. Thus, the process of identification comes into play. The program aims to provide this selected group with the information, skills, and motivation to make it easy for their friends to pass through the process of internalization. The program deals with theoretical knowledge in the fields of a car's stability while in motion, correct behavior behind the wheel, driving proficiency in various road conditions, and developing motivation for change of attitude.
