Samenvatting

This CD-ROM contains Volume 6 of the six-volume collection contained in the "Selected Studies in Transportation Law" (SSTL), published jointly by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) and the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP). Volume 6 of the SSTL is completely new and is comprised of decisions issued by the United States Department of Labor (U.S. DOL) Officials on applications for certification that transit grant applicants have complied with section 13(c) of the Federal Transit Act, 49 U.S.C. Section 5333(b). Such certification is required prior to obtaining a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration. These decisions have been issued and maintained by the U.S. DOL. The Legal Project of the TCRP has collected and indexed significant decisions and clarification letters that cover an approximately 16-year period. The material, previously unpublished, was compiled to provide a readily available source of information on 13(c) interpretations and practices over the covered period. The compilation is presented in four parts: (1) State-by-state index; (2) Issues and subject matters index; (3) Alphabetical index; and (4) Decisions. This material should be useful to attorneys and persons in transit development, project planning, labor law, labor relations, and finance. (Author/publisher)
