Samenvatting

Duplicating in France a Canadian study by Beirness on self-estimates of BAC, four public breathanalyzers have been installed in four French discos. Subjective and objective estimates of BrAC have been obtained on a sample of 71 young French drivers and passengers, while entering and leaving the disco. Semidirective interviews have been conducted on various topics dealing with DUI. The preventive value of breathanalyzers is discussed, as well as representations and attitudes of young people related to alcohol.
