Social drinkers who had been trained to discriminate their B.A.C. tended to predict greater impairment of performance while drinking than did untrained controls, although their actual performance on coding task did not differ. It is suggested that training in B.A.C. discrimination may enhance caution and concern about behavioural impairment while driving.
