This contribution to the topic "separation contra integration" is based on carried out and planned structure of two residential areas in Aarhus, Denmark. Both principles may be utilized as instruments for planning new town areas as well as for reorganization of existing town areas. The first example illustrates how traffic separation has been carried out in 9 new residential areas during the nineteen sixty's. The second example describes how traffic integration will be used as an instrument to reorganize the traffic in an old residential area mainly established during the thirties and forties. For the covering abstract see IRRD 253224.
