To keep up with the demands of information-hungry consumers, service providers are providing personalised real-time information. Location-based services are moving towards providing location-specific information to the user on a real-time basis. The NAVTECH Real-Time Map Service from Navigation Technologies is described. New types of data such as speed limits, business hours of operation and petrol stations are integrated with the digital maps.
