Shock index classification for highway vehicles.

This article discusses the problem of damage-producing shock and vibrations in the shipment of cargo by intermodal containers. The first two areas approached and discussed are shock classification of cargo-restraint systems. A jointly sponsored project is described to develop a shock index equation based on static and dynamic measurements.
