Short report about experiments with black and white line-marking and marking of arrows and pedestrian crossings on light road surfaces in Malmö, Sweden.

Light road surfaces, even desirable from lighting point of view, are unsuitable because the contrast between the white marking lines and the light road surface will be so low that the marking lines can not be seen sufficiently clear. Therefore a system of black and white plastic material for carriageway marking is developed. Some examples are given and described.
