This paper presents the short time forecast system that has been implemented as a part of a traffic management system during the widening of one ofthe busiest Danish motorway sections. The system is based respectively onspeed measurements on the M3. Travel time is measured and forecasted 15 minutes to enable travelers not yet on the M3 motorway to select alternative routes or departure time. Information is disseminated to the public by means of a web page. The model accuracy is evaluated satisfactorily. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
