Should direct left turns from driveways be avoided? : a safety perspective.

This study looked at the safety of 2 alternative left-turn treatments from driveways -- direct left turns and right turns followed by U-turns -- with the intention of identifying whether it is advisable to avoid direct left turns as a safety measure. The methodology, analysis results, crash-data analysis, and conclusions of this research are provided and discussed.
