Samenvatting
The improvement of traffic safety by means on public lighting was discussed on this one-day conference. The theme was presented from the point of view of traffic psychology, traffic planning, and traffic practice and energy conservation. The main conclusion is that public lighting as a factor in traffic safety in unchallenged. Papers (1) the specification of a design speed, (2) the aspects of sight distance, and (3) geometric standards for safer operation.
