Samenvatting
Traffic signs and guiding devices contribute to road safety as well as traffic layout. In darkness in particular they are indispensable for safe traffic flow. In the Federal Republic of Germany carefully considered recommendations have been made for taking stock of road equipment. These include the assessment of the night- time effectiveness of traffic signs and guiding devices.
