Samenvatting
The first part of this paper outlines the history of motor vehicle lighting, and examines the "dipped" beam technique and possibilities of improving it. Methods of reducing or surpressing dazzle effects are discussed. The second part deals with motor vehicle signalling systems and current European standards.
