Samenvatting
As a first step in understanding the effects of fatigue on driving, it is necessary to examine how driver-vehicle measures change with time on task. Data of this type are difficult to obtain in a real world environment because of lack of experimental control. Therefore a driving simulator was used. The results indicate that asymptotic performance in simulated driving is not reached within a two and one-half hour driving period.
