Samenvatting
84 miner road improvements are studied in a before and after accident study. The effect on traffic safety by carrying out the road improvements is studied and the first year benefits are estimated. The road improvements are grouped as intersection works (channelisations or traffic signal installations) road stretch improvements and road lighting works. The effects of carrying out the improvements are estimated based on savings in personal injury accidents and in injuries. The observed accidents and injuries are corrected for the general accident trends in Denmark.
