Samenvatting
A composite model which can be used for the prediction of freeway traffic performance as a function of traffic demand patterns and freeway design is described. After calibrating the simulation model, some investigations were undertaken, assuming changes in the freeway capacity as well as the actual demand pattern. The most important results obtained for the various alternatives are discussed.
