Samenvatting
This papers describes a composite model which can be used for the prediction of freeway traffic performance as a function of traffic demand pattern and freeway design (simulation model). The freeway-section Zoetermeer - Den Haag is used for testing the model in respect to Dutch freeways. After calibrating the simulation model, some investigations were undertaken, assuming changes in the freeway capacity (bottlenecks) as well as the actual demand pattern.
