Samenvatting

Although research into the physical factors in highway accidents is predominantly experimental, increasing attention is being given to the development op applicable analytical techniques to supplement experiments. Because a purely experimental evaluation procedure is both time consuming and expensive. Today's computers have enabled even such complex, non-linear systems as car accidents to be modelled for as little as $20.- Simulation will be increasingly used to supplement actual experiments in future road safety research.
