Samenvatting

This paper describes the results of experiments and simulation which are used for improvement of traffic flow conditions and development of transport infrastructure in the city Rostov-on-Don. The results of the traffic simulation has application for study scenarios development of urban network, architecture and functions of Urban Traffic Control System and Center of Management of Public Transport. In connection with fast growth of traffic in streets of cities of Russia it is necessary to use modern methods of simulation for the decision of transport problems. It is obvious, that the urban level is the basic place of the application of various methods of modelling. Important for receiving realistic results at microsimulation has definition of capacity of a links of an urban network. Certainly it is possible to use theoretical values of capacity. However in fact there are essential distinctions between actual and theoretical values of capacity. It is especially obviously for various links of an urban network. Difference in methods of the traffic management, parking, public transport, limitations of velocity has influence on traffic conditions and capacity. Therefore calibration of model of a network and validation of results of microsimulation are impossible without investigation of capacity of the main sections of a network. This important stage of researches has been executed at creation of model of a network of city Rostov-on-Don and microsimulation for an estimation of development of a network and traffic management. Researches of efficiency of these models and parameters was studied using AIMSUN NG and monitoring the real traffic information on the urban network of Rostov-on-Don. The main aim of this study consisted in creating new relationships for traffic flow and development of criteria of traffic state for the urban network. Fragment of an urban network where experimental researches and microsimulation were carried out is shown in figure 1. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
