Samenvatting

This report describes the development of a simulation environment where the user specifies velocity data to obtain an efficiency measure of current and over time averaged driving. Functionality should be implementable in the development of a driver support for more efficient driving in traffic situations. The simulation environment where this is evaluated is created in Matlab. The selection and filtering of the input signal is described in detail, as well as calculations made to provide accurate assessment of the input velocity data. Furthermore, it describes the thresholds forming the basis for the measurement of efficiency calculated into points. The simulator shows good functionality when simulating the scenarios examined in this report. The results are presented in a logical way for the user, both numerically and graphically. The simulator gives the user a good idea concerning the effectiveness of various driving behavior.
