Simulation of traffic at a four-way stop intersection.

While a number of attempts have been made to describe characteristics of an intersection purely in mathematical terms, the most fruitful research from a practical standpoint has utilized simulation. The results of research in which a four-way stop intersection was simulated on digital computer are reported and results of experiments are presented.
