Forty buckles and harnesses were allocated on the one hand to parents who had complained of their children opening the buckles, and on the other hand to parents chosen at random. The new buckles had been elaborated and tested the laboratory, but not in every- day life. All the parents were satisfied with the buckles after having them used during 3 months. A buckle with an inserted push button and with a required release force of 40-50 N is recommended.
