Samenvatting
The number of fatalities and injuries in traffic are still as such that they can be considered as a yearly returning disaster. The countermeasures taken by the government in the framework of the Multiyear Traffic Safety Plan are mostly all aimed at accident prevention, because the most profit can be gained in doing so, but it gives the impression that everything ends with the accident if that occurs. But every year hundreds of people are victims of traffic accidents and suffer from it long after the accident. The Dutch Council for Traffic Safety has given recommendations for actions for help to these people by the government, organizations and administrations. See also PB 26915 and 26916.
