Samenvatting
This paper is based on a review of material published between 1970 and 1982 on the social characteristics of alcohol impaired drivers. The review attempted to include all major New Zealand studies which provide any information on the backgrounds, psychological and social characteristics of alcohol impaired drivers or drinking drivers.The social sciences research fund committee is interested in high- lighting the present state of the art of research into the social characteristics of alcohol impaired drivers in order to identify where social science research can make a contribution.
