Samenvatting
The contribution of the social and behavioural sciences to the solution of traffic problems is generally still vague. The purpose of this article is to show more apprehension for the non-technical aspects of traffic engineering. The role of the human being as a problem-solver, the static contra the dynamic models, and the insight in the structure for policy decisions are discussed. Important is also the determination of research priorities.
