Samenvatting

This paper describes a software architecture for in-vehicle human-machine interface (HMI) integration and coordination, developed in the AIDE (Adaptive Integrated Driver-vehicle Interface) project. The architecture explicitly accounts for HMI interdependences between multiple applications and enables real-time HMI adaptivity to the driver-vehicle environment (DVE) state. It also fulfils the crucial requirements related to scalability and modularity of applications and HMI I/O device configurations and fully supports OEM-specific HMI branding aspects.
