Samenvatting

Increasing economic and environmental pressures have led to the trial and development of sprayed seals and slurry seals using cationic emulsions under Australian conditions. Particular emphasis has been placed on the development of techniques for spray sealing with cationic emulsions under cool climatic conditions when normal cutback bitumen seals are not an option. This should allow urgent seals and reseals to be undertaken with confidence even when conditions are expected to remain continually moist and cold for some time after sealing.
