Some aspects of the studies for planning the Netherlands primary roads network.

A review is presented of attempts being made in the Netherlands to establish a national scheme for a primary road network based on future transport requirements. Priorities involved in the construction and extension of this network are analyzed. A brief description is given of the classification and financing of interurban roads and the exiting plans for primary roads.
