Samenvatting
Three studies of road user behaviour which were conducted at zebra and pelican crossings are described. Pedestrians experienced very little delay or difficulty at zebras on busy roads. Driver reaction at the particular pelicans which have refuges in the middle of the road and are not staggered was studied. The effect on sighted pedestrians of audible buzzes type signals which sound during the green man period was measured.
