Samenvatting
The purpose of the paper is to report the work that has been going on to produce a side impact dummy which meets the requirements of the various groups working in Europe towards the development of protection in cars for their occupants against side impact accidents. The paper includes a list of relevant biomechanics papers including some on acceptable levels of injury tolerance to the various side impact injuries suffered by human beings.
