Some observations concerning the application of traffic conflicts technics with the aim to determine the correlation between the traffic flow characteristics and the traffic safety conditions.

A study carried out to find a correlation between traffic flow parameters and traffic safety is summarized. The research was conducted on a dangerous section of the main Belgrade- Titovo Uzice road. The aim of the research was: to define conflict situations, to select traffic flow parameters for conflict situations, to observe conflict situations on the stretch of road selected, and to discuss the results obtained.
