Some radial and direction- dependent models for densities of homes and workplaces.

Census data on journeys to work in London and Bristol are analyzed in order to examine how the homes and workplaces are distributed across the urban areas. The analyses suggest two generalization of models for population densities. One generalization is required for accurate treatments of the central area, while the other allows for directional dependence.
