Samenvatting
A review of the literature regarding the safety problem of emergency vehicles indicates that emergency runs are two to eight times more dangerous than normal rides. The consequences of such accidents are- apart from direct physical and material damage- delay in needed help elsewhere and tying down of several emergency vehicles: 1) the vehicle involved in the crash; 2) emergency vehicles sent to this accident for help; 3) emergency vehicle dispatched to the original emergency site. The aim of the study is to give an analysis of the problem and possible countermeasures.
