Samenvatting

Speeding is a major factor in serious and fatal traffic crashes. Speeds just over 5 km/h above the speed limit in urban areas, and 10 km/h above the speed limit in rural areas, are sufficient to double the risk of a casualty crash. This is roughly equivalent to the increase in risk associated with a Blood Alcohol Concentration BAC of 0.05. (Author/publisher)
