Spreadsheets : an effective aid to the design of Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems IVHS communications.

ADGA was selected by Transport Canada and Industry Canada to study the communications necessary to support seamless IVHS services throughout Canada. The communication needs, the tools developed for their analysis and the principal findings of the analysis are the subjects of this paper. The tools have application to the analysis of alternative IVHS options in a wide range of scenarios. They may be used for system trade off analysis and the identification of IVHS services that may best be grouped together from a communications perspective. (A)
