Samenvatting
Arterial streets in built- up areas satisfy various traffic and urban development needs. The planning engineer sees his responsibility in taking these demands into account within the frame of a comprehensive design concept of road space. Recommendations for the design of arterial streets were set up by a working group. This paper describes the concept of the recommendations.
