'Stadtinfokoeln' is a large research and development project (partly) funded by the German Research and Development Initiative called "Mobility in Conurbations". The aim of the five projects of the initiative is to develop and demonstrate on a large scale new approaches and technical solutions to influence mobility. The projects have been presented at the 7th ITS World Congress in the Special Session 'Mobility in German Cities'. The aim of this paper is two-fold: it firstly provides an overall presentation of the Cologne project 'Stadtinfokoeln' and discusses secondly - in according to an agreement with the other projects - some Cologne-specific aspects in detail. These aspects are "Distribution of Traffic Information", "Variable Message Signs" and "Parking". For the covering abstract see ITRD E114174.
