From 80 international medium and bigger towns of the accident rate an average is taken for the quantification of the accident situation. The number of fatalities per 10.000 persons of the daily population and year is calculated. By that number the towns are compared. The Swedish cities score half so high as the best German cities. Between the German cities are big differences. Recommendations for improving safety in the cities are presented.
