Samenvatting
The establishment of standard nomenclature and definitions is recommended for describing pavement conditions to improve communications in the pavement management processes. General terms related to pavement' s features, defects, components and characteristics are presented in the first chapter. The recommended term is shown as nomenclature, and other commonly used terms are shown as synonyms. The same format is used in chapters 2 and 3 to categorize the most common defects of flexible and rigid pavement respectively.
